At Hua Yuan Brasserie Chinoise, the Shanghainese restaurant of Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts, Lunar New Year takes the form of Prosperity Gallop, available until Feb. 28. The offering presents an opulent expression of Chinese New Year generosity, honoring tradition, well wishes, and longevity through curated festive selections.

A range of deluxe hampers highlights the season’s emphasis on abundance. The Imperial Prosperity Hamper (P25,888 nett) includes premium items such as Black Gold Four-Layer Pastry, White Rabbit Confectionery, and The Dalmore 12-Year-Old (700ml). For a lighter yet festive option, the Abundance Hamper (P8,888 nett) features Pineapple Shortcake, truffle chocolates, and an elegant tea set.

Lunar Bento at Yamazato, Hotel Okura Manila at Newport World Resorts

Lunar New Year is observed through Japanese culinary traditions that emphasize seasonality, balance, and precision at Yamazato, the MICHELIN-selected Japanese fine-dining restaurant at Hotel Okura Manila at Newport World Resorts. The celebration is marked with the Lunar Bento—a thoughtfully curated set that presents seasonal flavors through Japanese tradition. Priced at P3,000++ per person, the set is available during lunch service from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., until Feb. 17.

Lunar New Year Kisetsu Buffet at Yawaragi, Hotel Okura Manila at Newport World Resorts

Yawaragi celebrates the Lunar New Year with its Kisetsu Buffet, offered for both lunch (12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and dinner (6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.) on Feb. 17. Priced at P1,800++ per person, the buffet features a range of Japanese dishes suited for shared dining and festive gatherings. For those looking to bring the celebration home, Yawaragi’s Lunar New Year Pastry Boutique offers a selection of festive pastries and confections, with prices starting at P250++. The pastry selection is available from Feb. 16 to March 3.

The Lunar New Year experience at Newport World Resorts opens with dining traditions that are made for sharing and connection. Happy 8 marks the season with the launch of its Lunar New Year Dim Sum All-You-Can offering. Featuring 34 handcrafted items—including Roasted Pork Belly, Pan-Fried Chinese Gyoza with Chili Garlic Sauce, and Deep-Fried Shrimp and Pork Wontons. The concept turns midday dining into an extended gathering designed for sharing and revisiting favorites. Lo Hei and Prosperity Dimsum Set at Man Ho, Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts

At Man Ho, the MICHELIN-recognized Cantonese restaurant of Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts, prosperity is shared through dishes meant to be enjoyed together. The Lo Hei prosperity toss brings diners into the ritual itself, priced at P5,888 nett for five persons or P8,888 nett for ten. Lunar New Year offerings, including the Prosperity Dimsum Set (P2,188 nett for a basket of 12) and Poon Choi (P25,888 nett for five persons), anchor the celebration. Tikoy, a signature Lunar New Year delicacy, signals continuity and togetherness, with festive varieties available such as Big and Small Koi Fish Tikoy (P1,288++), Gold Ingot Tikoy (P988++ for 12 pieces), and Good Fortune Tikoy (P1,688++). These offerings are available from Jan. 26 to Feb. 26.

Lion dances and lanterns light the way forward

Throughout The World of Prosperity, ceremonial lion and dragon dances, lantern displays, and other Lunar New Year traditions are staged across the property, with activities varying by date of visit. The lion and dragon dances are performed as symbols of vitality and movement, while lantern displays illuminate common spaces as markers of renewal and togetherness. Stage productions elevate the festivities

Entertainment adds another dimension to The World of Prosperity. Champions of the Heart, a Valentine’s concert featuring some of the Philippines’ most celebrated vocalists—Martin Nievera, Sofronio Vasquez, Jed Madela, Jona, and Klarisse de Guzman—takes place on Feb. 14 at 8:00 p.m. at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Newport World Resorts.
