More online reservation slots to be available for Korean visa applicants starting Aug. 19
Filipinos raring to visit South Korea need to have a visa first. The requirement may take a while to be completed, especially if the lines are long at the Korean Visa Application Center (KVAC) in Taguig.
But hopeful travelers may skip the hassle and have advance bookings of their visa application visit before the KVAC.
The KVAC said more online reservation slots will be available starting Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m through its website. There will be six slots for each hour.
Advance online reservation is available two months from the reservation date.
The KVAC website has been catering to online bookings for visa application slots, but online reservation periods have been so long due to the volume of applicants. The latest move helps reduce the waiting time of applicants.
In any case, the KVAC is still accepting walk-ins from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.
Last May, the KVAC announced that it has also started accepting visa applications through mail instead of submitting them in person.
