When it comes to going on a food trip by yourself or with your nearest and dearest, there are times where you want to stick to what's been tried and tested.

However, there's nothing quite like immersing yourself in a newly-opened food spot and trying out their mouth-watering specialties that are completely foreign to your taste buds.

With this in mind, we've compiled a list of some new restaurants that have opened or will be opening soon in the north of Metro Manila. Here are some that could be your next favorite hangout spot:

Ikinari Steak

After opening its first branch at the SM Mall of Asia Square, Japan's top fast steak restaurant is expanding its reach and is set to open at Robinsons Magnolia.

Ikinari Steak is known for its luscious steak specialties that will have you relishing the main course without bothering with the side dishes, such as their Wild Steak featuring Certified Angus Beef chuck eye steak and their Ikinari Hamburg Steak composed of juicy beef patties.

Paik's Coffee and Bakery

Paik’s Coffee and Bakery quickly rose as one of the most popular coffee shop chains in South Korea, and it finally graced the Philippines when it opened a store at Glorietta 1 Mall in Makati City. But it's now set to expand with a new branch at Robinsons Magnolia, offering "authentic Korean beverages and bread" that will leave caffeine lovers craving for more.

The cafe, founded by Korean chef and show host Paik Jong Won, also has their own signature frappuccino, which they fondly call Paiksccino and it's served either as a smoothie or an ice cream. It comes in a variety of flavors such as Strawberry Banana, Choco Banana, Greeentea, Cookies and Cream, Mint Chocolate, and more.

Bb.q Chicken

Another crowd favorite in Korea, Bb.q Chicken will now offer its much-loved fried chicken offerings in their third branch at Robinsons Magnolia, having previously opened at Bonifacio Global City and Evia Lifestyle Center in Las Piñas City.

The menu items, which highlight "traditional favorites to adventurous new creations," include delectable flavors like Honey Garlic, Soy Garlic, and Golden Original as well as fiery ones such as Secret Sauce, Hot Spicy, Spicy Galbi, Gangnam Style, Gang-Jeong, Spicy Golden Original, and Wings of Fire.
