Disney Adventure Cruise unveils first look at its open garden central hub
Are you ready to set sail while pampering your inner child?
The new Disney Adventure cruise ship, setting sail from Singapore in 2025, gave a first look at one of the seven themed areas that passengers can enjoy.
Dubbed as "Disney Imagination Garden," the area is the ship's central hub and is described as an immersive, enchanted valley that takes inspiration from the animation studio's 100 years of "heroic and heartwarming adventures."
Built as a vibrant, open-air garden set against a three-deck-tall, the area features colorful landscapes that will transport you into the pages of well-loved Disney stories with all your favorite characters.
Much like a storybook castle art piece, it will be filled with landscapes styled like paper cut-outs, including decorative foliage of blooming flowers, shaped topiaries, tall trees and cascading vines, all among scenic props like towering trellises and twinkling lanterns. The characters you can see are a mix of those from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel.
Disney Imagination Garden will also include a state-of-the-art theatrical stage where a captivating program of high-energy shows, character appearances, and magical surprises will take place.
One show that fans can expect is the "Avengers Assemble," which will showcase jaw-dropping stunts and incredible special effects centering on Deadpool, marking his Disney Cruise Line debut.
There will also be an epic battle between Marvel super heroes and villains that features the likes of Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther, The Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, Loki, Red Skull, Taskmaster, and more.
Details about additional shows and other entertainment offerings on the Garden Stage will be released at a later date.
Directly in front of the stage will be an open "lawn" area leading to a large staircase that will double as amphitheater-style seating, perfect for enjoying live entertainment.
At the top of the grand staircase is a charming garden courtyard and bar decorated with storybook cut-out trees and images of familiar animal pals and Disney's mascot Mickey Mouse in his iconic sorcerer's apprentice costume.
If you're feeling hungry, Disney Imagination Garden is home to "Mowgli's Eatery," which is inspired by The Jungle Book and will serve Indian cuisines, including vegetarian and regional dishes with a special Disney twist.
You can also head to the Moana-inspired restaurant "Gramma Tala’s Kitchen," where you can satisfy your taste buds with a menu of Pacific and Asian flavors.
Apart from the Imagination Garde, other areas in the ship include Disney Discovery Reef, San Fransokyo Street, Wayfinder Bay, Town Square, Marvel Landing, and Toy Story Place.
Beginning in 2025, the Disney Adventure will sail out of Singapore for three- and four-night cruises from the Marina Bay Cruise Center. The ship is estimated to have 6,700 passengers with around 2,500 crew members.
