Planning to enjoy a trip while working from anywhere this summer?

With the dry season upon us, more people are beginning to plan their vacations to different parts of the country or abroad. Those with remote work setups can switch up their environment by going on a trip to different destinations as they tick off their task list.

If you're planning a local trip, consider Cebu as one of your stops as Mactan is home to some scenic coffee shops where you can enjoy a peaceful ambiance and good coffee to get your productivity up. PhilSTAR L!fe has you covered with a list of cafés to check out while in Mactan.

Attention, K-drama fans! South Korea's CoffeeBay opened a new location in Soong, Lapu-Lapu City. The café is pretty spacious with two floors perfect for a hangout with your friends, meetings, or getting work done. We visited the shop on a weekday and it wasn't crowded.

CoffeeBay serves up frappes, coffee, iced drinks, pastries, pastas, salads, pizzas, and more so you can fill up while you work.

CoffeeBay is located at Casanta Soong, Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu

Another Korean-inspired coffee shop to visit in Lapu-Lapu City is Raon Cafe located at Raon Square. You'll easily be able to spot the building as it sports sharp squared corners and is all grey.

Inside, the sleek look continues as even the counters and chairs come in greyscale. Despite its bleaker color scheme, the café looks bright with its floor-to-ceiling glass windows which give you a view of Raon Square's pool.

In addition to coffee, smoothies, tea, and fruit beverages, you can snack on cookies, financiers, and bread at Raon Cafe.

If you want an ambiance with more greens like plants, Nimo Brew is the place to go. This café is tucked away and has a laid-back vibe to it as it's surrounded by trees from the Cebu Plant Company.

There's an air-conditioned spot inside where you can get your coffee and pastries as well as borrow game boards, but where you'll want to stay is in the al-fresco area as you can enjoy the fresh air and beauty of the space.

Nimo Brew, along Casanta-Soong Road in Lapu-Lapu City, is also pet-friendly so you can bring your fur babies while you work.

While Dusit Thani Mactan has Tradewinds Café, their Sunset Sports Bar is actually a chill place to work in the morning when it's not as busy yet. The bar has a wide variety of food on the menu—from mac and cheese to spicy wings and burgers—as well as refreshing drinks like smoothies, shakes, iced teas, and juices.

Another thing that makes this sports bar a good place to work is the view. While you dine and type away on your keyboard, you get a view of the hotel's infinity pool and the vast blue sea.

The Sunset Bar is located at Punta Engaño Rd, Mactan Island, Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu.
