With the holidays just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to embark on new adventures and enjoy leisurely activities.

For a destination that consistently delivers without the hassle of a long-haul flight, Singapore always has plenty to offer. From the iconic sights of Merlion Park and Marina Bay Sands to the charming and often-overlooked heritage of the Peranakan culture to the fun adventures at Resorts World Sentosa, expect to find a delightful mix of experiences for all ages.

Planning your trip? We’ve put together a guide to the must-visit attractions at RWS and the special perks that will enhance your stay in the Lion City.

Singapore Oceanarium was recently revamped, and it now boasts larger-than-life aquariums featuring over 100,000 marine animals. This attraction houses large replicas and animatronics of ancient sea monsters, and separate rooms for jellyfish, sharks, manta rays, reefs, axolotls, and more.

This Nov. 28, visitors will get to enjoy Sanrio's Hangyodon-themed immersive experience—the only one in Southeast Asia. This attraction includes life-size installations of marine animals in Sanrio style, as well as Hangyodon-themed sweet treats you can enjoy mid-tour. The attraction will run until Jan. 4, 2026.

You can wrap up your tour by picking up a cute marine-animal plushie or charm from the souvenir shop as a keepsake.

There’s also Adventure Cove Waterpark, perfect for cooling off in the SG heat. The park features a range of thrilling rides, from high-speed whirlpool slides and dueling racers to the Pipeline Plunge. There’s plenty to get your adrenaline pumping, rain or shine.

For those preferring a gentler pace, enjoy a serene journey along the lazy river, exploring over 10 unique themed zones, including the immersive jungle garden. Don't forget to grab your snorkel and discover the colors of the reef and its inhabitants.

If you're missing the beach, you can feel sand on your skin and relax at the lounge chairs in the man-made seashore.

Don't forget to grab some fish and chips or chicken satays at the waterpark's The Bay restaurant.

Of course, no SG trip is complete without a stop at Universal Studios Singapore. From photo lovers to adventure-seeking visitors, this park caters to everyone.

We recommend you line up for the Puss in Boots' Giant Journey, which is a short roller coaster ride around the remains of the castle, accompanied by Puss and Kitty, who will steal golden eggs up to the giant beanstalk.

There's also the Donkey’s beloved Dragon inside the Far Far Away area, inspired by the hit animated film Shrek.

Go bananas as you enter Minion Land and explore Minion Mayhem, where you will be transported into a ride adventure featuring scenes from the iconic movie, such as the Minion Labs.

There’s also the Silly Swirly ride and the party-themed Buggie Boogie carousel that you can enjoy with your kids.

Make sure not to miss Harry Potter: Visions of Magic, which is having its Asia premiere in Sentosa. The attraction, which opened in November 2024, offers immersive rooms where you can showcase spells you’ve learned from the movie series.

The Chamber of Secrets room.

Visitors will be handed a wand, which they can use at mysterious corners of the wizarding world to witness the magic. Inside, you’ll find 10 immersive attractions. Highlights include The Chamber of Secrets, where you’re challenged to open the door to the lair of the Basilisk, or King of Serpents, just as seen in the 2002 film. Don't miss the eerie Trap Door, a spot that threatens to swallow you whole if you aren't careful!

These rooms are exclusively available in Singapore.

The whole area is equipped with video and sound content that lets you transport to the wizarding world of the iconic film. There's no time limit for every visit, but oncee you surrender your wand, you cannot go back. So, be sure to make the most out of it!

Cap off the tour by bringing home Harry Potter merchandise, like shirts, pillows, ballpens, and the collectible wands, among others. Curious about what the famous butterbeer tastes like? You can also order that in the cafe located in the lobby area.

Offerings at CHIFA!

For a different culinary experience, be sure to check out CHIFA!, specializing in Peruvian-Chinese cuisine. Among the must-try dishes are the flavorful Anticucho skewers and the fresh, seasonal vegetable stir-fry. Conclude your meal with their signature take on churros—they are light and satisfying, especially when dipped into the rich dulce de leche.

There's also Soi Social if you crave Thai cuisine; their mango sticky rice is chef kiss!
