Teeth TOTGA? Man reunites with dentures 11 years after throwing them up

Here’s some happy news to sink your teeth into: A man from Greater Manchester, England has found his dentures after 11 years of being apart.

After getting drunk with his friends while on vacation in Spain more than a decade ago, Paul Bishop said that he had lost his dentures after throwing up.

"I had downed the rest of my cider and it decided to come back up,” Bishop shared with BBC News. "The bin was the closest thing to me."

"When we headed to the next bar, my friend then turned round to me and asked where my teeth were."

After that, he simply bought new dentures and forgot about the ordeal — until it turned up on his doorstep 11 years later.

Turns out, Spanish authorities caught sight of his fake teeth and used DNA records to trace them back to the gummy source.

In the letter addressed to Paul from the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología (CNB), a Spanish research institute, they instructed the 63-year-old to be more careful with his belongings.

"I have great pleasure in returning and hope they find you well and hope soon you return to visit Spain, but be more careful,” wrote CNB member José Juan Sánchez Serrano.

Though Paul can now no longer wear his old dentures, he shared with Manchester Evening News that he’s still going to keep them safely in a glass container. Hopefully, for good this time.
