With The Pitt season 3 currently in production, the award-winning medical drama has added six new recurring cast members to join Dr. Robby and the rest of the team on their next shift.

On July 1, HBO Max announced the new actors to walk the halls of the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.

Among the recurring guest stars in the upcoming season of The Pitt are Cheyenne Perez (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Malachi Beasley (A House of Dynamite) as student doctors Marisol Elena Sambrano Monterossa and Taj Osei, respectively.

Meanwhile, Pruitt Taylor Vince, who played Jonathan Kent in Superman, will step into the role of Lance Candella, aka The Professor, a patient in the emergency department.

Additionally, actors Jeremy Radin (The Accountant 2) and Charlz Williams (Seal Team) take on the role of patients Grant Emerson and Angus Gunn.

And lastly, Rosanny Zayas (The L Word: Generation Q) will play physician assistant Vera Delgado.

There aren't a lot of details yet about The Pitt season 3, but star Noah Wyle previously told Deadline that it picks off months after season 2, which was set on July 4.

"It's set in early November, just before the holidays, ushering in a new set of emergencies and confrontations and complications," he said.

It was also confirmed in April that Supriya Ganesh, who plays senior resident Dr. Samira Mohan, won't return for season 3, following the character's story arc. Ayesha Harris (senior night shift resident Dr. Parker Ellis), meanwhile, was promoted to a series regular.

The Pitt season 2 saw the doctors navigating the Fourth of July weekend, as they treat severe trauma cases while dealing with a disabled hospital network and an ICE abduction in triage.

The series stars Wyle, Shawn Hatosy, Katherine LaNasa, Taylor Dearden, Patrick Ball, Fiona Dourif, Shabana Azeez, Sepideh Moafi, Gerran Howell, as well as Filipino-American actors Isa Briones, Kristin Villanueva, and Amielynn Abellera.
