Disney casts its Lilo for the 'Lilo & Stitch' live-action remake
Disney fam, welcome your new Lilo.
Hawaiian actress Maia Kealoha will join Zach Galifianakis in Disney's live-action remake of the 2002 classic Lilo & Stitch. She will play as the young orphaned girl named Lilo.
Not much has been said about it, but the remake will likely stick to the same storyline as the original movie, which follows the friendship between a Lilo and a mischievous dog-like alien named Stitch.
According to Deadline, Dean Fleischer Camp will direct the film and Chris Kekaniokalani Bright will write the script. Joining the production team are Dan Lin, Jonathan Eirich, and Ryan Halprin.
