Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino's film 'My Love Will Make You Disappear' sets new release date
Star Cinema has announced a new release date for the much-anticipated romantic comedy film My Love Will Make You Disappear, starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino.
In a statement, the production company moved the premiere date to March 26 instead of the originally scheduled Feb. 12 due to "new development and exciting opportunities to expand into the North American market."
Star Cinema added that it is partnering with global theatrical distributor Abramorama and international marketing firm Amorette Jones Media Consulting for the upcoming film.
The statement came after Kim and Paulo's fans aired their disappointment following a circulating image online from SM Cinema that the movie's release date would now debut in April rather than the initially planned February 12.
Kim and Paulo announced that they would reunite for the movie in August 2024.
The upcoming flick, directed by Chad Vidanes, marks the first time Kim and Paulo will star in a movie together.
They both previously starred in the 2023 series Linlang with JM de Guzman and the recent local adaptation of the K-drama What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?, which was also directed by Vidanes.
Vidanes said in August that the movie would be a "true blue romcom" from Star Cinema.
He went on to describe it as a show of "how the magic of love can make things go wild and fun."
