The Asian Television Awards 2024 ended on a high note with the Philippine adaptation of What's Wrong with Secretary Kim winning Best Theme Song.

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, which has Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino in the lead roles, emerged victorious in the category for the song To Be With You.

It was performed by South Korean artist Kim Won Shik and composed by Hong Jung Su, Lee Jae Kyu, and Lim Yu Jung.

On winning the award, Won Shik said, "Receiving this award is truly beyond words. Simply being nominated was already an incredible honor, and now I am filled with immense gratitude."

Other nominees in the category are theme songs from other popular shows such as Hotel Saltwater, Alliance, The Double, Last Twilight, Only Friends, Undekhi Season 3, and Lovely Runner.

What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, which is based on the South Korean series of the same name, follows a competent secretary and a narcissistic boss as they fall in love while uncovering a traumatic past that causes them to question whether their feelings are real or the result of a shared trauma.

Chiu herself is also a nominee in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category for her performance in the Philippine remake, but lost to Hong Kong actress Charmaine Sheh for her role in The Queen of News.

Julia Barretto was meanwhile nominated for Best Leading Female in a Digital Series for the drama series Secret Ingredient, but fell short to Hong Kong actress Jessica Hsuan for her work in Kill Sera Sera.

Elsewhere, the Philippines' PTV News Tonight was honored for being the Best News Program against other shows from broadcasters such as China Global Television Network, TV 18 Broadcast Ltd, Formosa Television, Indigenous People's Cultural Foundation, Bloomberg, and PT INDOSIAR VISUAL MANDIRI.
