Want to see Kim Seon-Ho play a KoPino (Korean-Filipino)? You just might!

Seon-Ho’s agency, Salt Entertainment, told Maeil Business Star Today on Sept. 6, “Kim Seon-Ho received an offer to appear in Sad Tropical and is positively discussing it.”

Sad Tropical is a movie about an aspiring boxer who has a Korean father and a Filipino mother. To find his father who abandoned him, he comes to Korea and meets bad guys on his journey.

The film will be directed by producing director Park Hoon Jung, who directed V.I.P. (2017), The Witch: Part 1—The Subversion (2018) and Night in Paradise (2020). Viewers are also looking forward to The Witch Part 2, which is in talks to be released this year.

While we are waiting for updates on Kim Seon-Ho’s first-ever film, here are some of the dramas he’s appeared in and loved by millions of international Korean drama fans.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (2021), ongoing

One of the highest-rated tvN weekend dramas, in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (Shin Min-Ah), Kim seon-Ho plays Hong Doo Shik or Chief Hong to local residents. He is unemployed but helps everyone in Gongjin with any situation they run into. He meets Yoon Hye Jin, a female dentist who finds her life plan falling apart because of the tiny bit of righteousness in her heart.

Doo-sik (Kim seon-Ho) and Hye-jin’s (Shin Min-Ah) relationship is progressing—so if haven’t started on the weekend show, you should now.

Start-up (2020), 16 episodes

As Han Ji Pyeong, he is the “good boy” character in Start-up, a man who does not want to owe anyone anything. However, he owes a large debt to one special person (Grandma Choi) who helped him out in the past.

The combination of being a stone- and good-hearted person at the same time is perfectly played by the actor. You will never not cry in this drama!

Catch the Ghost (2019), 16 episodes

Seon-Ho and Moon Geun-young’s chemistry is very strong; they are compatible as work partners as well as lovers. Ko Ji Seok (Kim Seon-Ho) follows rules and protocols, while Yoo Ryung (Moon Geun-young) solves cases regardless of the process.

The humor is there but does not overtake the seriousness of the drama. For anyone looking for a good crime drama with a lighter tone and interesting characters, this one’s for you.

Eulachacha Waikiki 2 (2019), 16 episodes

The sequel of Eulachacha Waikiki (2018) is here to fill you with laughter! Kim Seon-Ho as Cha Woo Shik is a picky person who dreams of becoming a singer. Together with Moon Ga Young, they deliver an adorable romance and friendship that are enjoyable to watch.
