Taylor Swift joins Anya Taylor-Joy, Margot Robbie, Robert De Niro and more in upcoming film
11-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift is set to make her acting comeback since the Cats film adaptation through an ensemble piece directed by David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle).
Though the still-untitled project’s plot details and release date are yet to be announced, Swift is confirmed to join a powerhouse of Hollywood stars such as Robert De Niro, Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, Anya Taylor-Joy, Zoe Saldana, Rami Malek, Chris Rock, Mike Myers, and more.
This won’t be Swift’s first rodeo when it comes to ensemble film projects, as she’s starred in 2010's Valentine’s Day and 2019’s controversial Cats adaptation.
She also headlined movies like 2014's The Giver and lent her voice in the 2012 Pixar film The Lorax. She was also the subject of the 2020 documentary Miss Americana, which follows her Reputation global concerts and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
Meanwhile, she’s been keeping herself busy with the pandemic releases of folklore and evermore. The former album recently won the Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album during the 2021 Grammys Awards.
