It looks like fans of Locke & Key can look forward to even more mysterious keys, more hidden powers, and more demons in the future! Netflix has confirmed that the hit supernatural series has been picked up for a third season ahead of the second season’s airing.

As reported by GeekTyrant, production on Season 2 is set to wrap this week and will air in 2021, while production on Season 3 will pick up immediately in the new year.

Netflix confirmed the news of the series renewal in a Twitter post along with a collage image of the cast spelling out “Season Three!" on their shirts.

The 2020 supernatural horror drama series is an adaptation of the original comic book series written by Joe Hill and illustrated by Gabriel Rodriguez. The story follows the adventures of the Locke children after they move into their dad's childhood home following his mysterious death. It’s in this old home that they discover a number of keys with different magical properties that give them an array of powers. Unfortunately, a demon is also after the keys and will stop at nothing to get them.

The series stars Connor Jessup (Falling Skies), Emilia Jones (Utopia, Wolf Hall), Jackson Robert Scott (IT & IT Chapter 2) as Locke siblings Tyler, Kinsey and Bode, along with other cast members Darby Stanchfield (Scandal), Laysla de Oliviera (Stephen King’s In the Tall Grass), Griffin Gluck (Tall Girl) and more.

Season 1 of Locke and Key is currently streaming on Netflix, while season 2 is set to premiere sometime in 2021.
