Song Jia, also known as Freezia on YouTube, has been under fire after she was accused of wearing fake luxury items on the Korean reality dating show Single’s Inferno.

Jia, one of the most popular contestants in Single’s Inferno, was often seen wearing designer brands like Chanel, Alexander McQueen, and Dior in the series.

She was later accused by netizens of wearing knock-offs of designer items including a pink Chanel knitted top, a Chanel crop top, a Dior tube top, Alexander McQueen accessories, and a Van Cleef & Arpels’ necklace, among others.

In a handwritten letter posted on Instagram, Tuesday, Jan. 18, Jia apologized for “disappointing and hurting people” with the controversy. “The counterfeit controversy is partly true, I’m really sorry. We apologize again for all the circumstances that occurred due to infringing on designers’ creations and ignorance of copyrights.”

Jia also apologized for copyright infringement on the luxury brands involved in the controversy. “As someone who has a dream of launching a brand, we will seriously recognize and reflect on the controversial areas,” she added.

The reality show star said she removed “all content exposed” to counterfeits. She also said sorry to her fans, subscribers, and brand officials who “have been hurt because of me.”

“I will live with more responsibility in the future. Thanks for reading this long post,” Jia said.

Prior to joining Single’s Inferno, Jia made a name for herself as a beauty and lifestyle content creator on social media.
