Rapper Dr. Dre suffers brain aneurysm - report
American rapper Dr. Dre has been hospitalized after suffering a brain aneurysm.
As reported by entertainment portal TMZ, the music mogul, whose real name is Andre Young, is currently in the intensive care unit of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after suffering an aneurysm on Jan. 4.
"Our sources say the music mogul is stable and lucid, but doctors don't know what caused the bleeding and they are doing a battery of tests," it said.
In a Twitter post, fellow rapper LL Cool J shared an update on the status of Dre, saying that the 55-year-old musician "is recovering nicely."

In an Instagram post Wednesday, Dre assured everyone that he's "doing great" following his medical emergency.
"Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team," Dre said. "I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!"
After departing the rap group N.W.A. in 1991, Dre pursued a solo career and later became a music producer. In 2006, Dre co-founded audio brand company Beats by Dr. Dre with Jimmy Lovine. Apple acquired the company for $3 billion in July 2014.
