WATCH: 'Freakier Friday' teaser trailer shows Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis in four-way body swap

The teaser trailer for Freakier Friday is finally here!

In the new teaser trailer released by Disney on Saturday, March 15, the mother-daughter duo Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Anna (Lindsay Lohan) are seen in a session with a fortune teller, who tells them, “Your lifelines—it’s like they've intersected before. You walked in each other’s path. You learned a lesson, a lesson that may serve you again.”

The two freak out and leave—and then feel an earthquake-like shake upon entering a bar. The next morning, they wake up in different bodies again, this time involving Anna’s daughter and stepdaughter.

According to Disney, the sequel will show a “multigenerational twist.”

"The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice," the synopsis read, per Variety.

The sequel to the 2003 film will also see cast members Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Haley Hudson, Christina Vidal Mitchelle, Lucille Song, and Rosalind Chao reprising their roles.

New faces include Filipino Canadian actor Manny Jacinto, who will play Anna's husband, as well as Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Sophia Hammons.

The original film, Freaky Friday, revolves around a strained relationship between a mother and daughter who switch bodies after eating a mysterious fortune cookie. They're forced to navigate their swapped lives and work together to switch back before it's too late.

The sequel is directed by Nisha Ganatra and will be produced by Andrew Gunn and Kristin Burr.

Freakier Friday is set to hit cinemas on Aug. 8.
