SB19's Josh Cullen performs 'Yoko Na' on GRAMMYs Global Spin Live

Josh Cullen of SB19 once again rocked the international music scene as he proudly performed his hip-hop single, Yoko Na on GRAMMYs Global Spin Live.

The digital series, organized by the Recording Academy, showcases talented artists from across the globe.

Josh is the second member of the P-pop group to perform on Global Spin Live following Ken's performance in 2022.

The 30-year-old singer delivered a remarkable performance of Yoko Na, his latest hip-hop track featuring renowned rapper Al James, released in March.

Performed with a band and captivating backdrop, Josh expressed the meaning of the song, which conveys the unspoken emotions during a relationship's breakdown. It reflects on the unraveling of a love that was once vibrant and hopeful, despite efforts to hold onto it until the very end.

In 2023, Josh, the group's lead vocalist and rapper, debuted as a solo artist with the release of his hit single Wild Tonight in February last year. He is also known for his songs, including Get Right, Sumaya, and Pakiusap Lang.

Earlier this month, Josh also performed at ROUND Festival 2024, a program under the ASEAN-Korea Music Festival project. This project promotes exchanges between Korea and ASEAN countries by utilizing popular music.

OPM singer Zack Tabudlo also performed at the said festival.

In an interview with The Philippine STAR, Josh said he has a habit of talking about OPM as a whole when asked about his dreams. He's eager to play a part in the increasing global recognition of Filipino music, both as a soloist and as part of the biggest boy group in the country

"Minsan napapaisip (ako), okay na siguro ‘to, magpahinga na siguro tayo. Pero hindi eh. Kulang ‘to. May na-hit na tayong markers, pero mag-grow pa ulit ‘yung goals natin,” he said.

Meanwhile, SB19 will release a documentary film featuring their PAGTATAG! era this August.
