Korean film 'The Moon' to hit PH cinemas in August

One of Korea's highly anticipated films of the year, The Moon, is coming to Philippine cinemas on August 16. 

Directed by Kim Yong-hwa, who also helmed the hit 200 Pounds Beauty and Along With the Gods, the film stars Kill Boksoon actor Sul Kyung-gu, EXO's main vocal, Doh Kyung-soo or D.O, and award-winning The World of the Married star Kim Hee-ae

The space film follows the story of Korea’s first manned mission to the moon which ended in a tragic disaster when an explosion occurs on board. Seven years later, a second human spaceflight is launched successfully but a strong solar wind causes it to malfunction One astronaut Sun-woo (played by Kyung-soo) is left stranded in space. Facing another fatal catastrophe, the Naro Space Center turns to its former managing director Dr. Kim (played by Sul Kyung-gu) to help bring Sun-woo back home safely.

Earlier this year, D.O starred in the K-drama Bad Prosecutor which marked his return to television following the completion of his military duty in January 2021.
