Seven, 'The Walking Dead' dog, passes away

Seven, the Belgian Malinois who portrayed the loyal canine companion of Daryl Dixon in the popular zombie series The Walking Dead, has died.
The show announced his death in an Instagram post on Friday, June 14, referring to him as "TWD's best boy."
The show also shared a snap of Seven with Melissa McBride's character, Carol, on X after Seven's passing. "All dogs go to heaven. Rest in peace, Seven," they wrote.
Walking Dead star Norman Reedus paid tribute to Seven by sharing a photo of them on Instagram with the caption: "7." He also wrote in the same thread, "Will miss u buddy."
His co-stars, including Yvette Nicole Brown, Lynn Collins, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, also expressed their grief by leaving crying and broken heart emojis in the comments section of the show's IG post.
Angelea Kang, the series' showrunner, wrote on her Instagram stories: "RIP Seven."
The Walking Dead first premiered in 2010 and immediately garnered a cult following across the globe. It's set in a "world devastated by a zombie apocalypse" as "a motley band of survivors pulls together to find safety—and answers—within the walls of the CDC," according to Netflix. It ended in November 2022 after 11 seasons.
