In case you missed it, a brand new trailer for Marvel Studios' Black Widowdropped over the weekend.

Marvel shared the latest trailer for the MCU Phase four film starring Scarlett Johansson which explores the origins of Natasha Romanoff last Sunday (April 4).

The long-delayed film was originally set for a late April 2020 release but was postponed multiple times because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Black Widow now has a more definite release date of July 9, 2021 and is set to premiere in theaters and on Disney's streaming platform, Disney Plus, simultaneously.

Black Widow is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016) and finds Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow heading to Russia to confront her past.In the new trailer, we see flashbacks of Scarlett’s Natasha as a member of the original Avengers, the group of superheroes that band together to save the earth from external threats.

“You don’t know everything about me,” says Natasha Romanoff in the new trailer.“Before I was an Avenger, before I got this family, I made mistakes, choosing between what the world wants you to be and who you are.”

These decisions are clearly weighing heavy on the master assassin, who's ready to face unfinished business and go back to where her story started before she can move forward.

Inthe upcoming film, Natasha Romanoffconfronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

Joining Johansson's Natasha Romanoff are Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, andRachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff.

Marvel Studios’ Black Widow will premiere in theaters in the U.S. and Disney Plus with Premier Access on July 9, 2021. No release date has been confirmed for the Philippines. Disney Plus is not yet available in the country.
