While plans for a Mean Girls reunion film are still up in the air, 2024 remains to be "so fetch" for fans of the hit teen flick as its musical adaptation is set to hit theaters in January of next year.

In case you still didn't know, Mean Girls: The Musical is confirmed to be coming to theaters on Jan. 12, 2024, after a source told entertainment portal Deadline.

The new stage-to-screen adaptation was initially set for an online release via Paramount+ before Paramount Pictures announced its theatrical release to the outlet.

Mean Girls: The Musical premiered on Broadway in April 2018 and stars Angourie Rice as Cady Haron—who was portrayed by Lindsay Lohan in the film—with the movie's vengeful trio being played by Reneé Rapp as Regina George, Avantika Vandanapu as Karen Smith, and  Bebe Wood as Gretchen Wieners.

Mean Girls screenwriter Tina Fey continues to play the role of Ms. Norbury, while popular Saturday Night Live alum Tim Meadows is once again portraying Principal Ron Duvall. The new film is directed by Arturo Perez and Samantha Jayne and produced by Fey and Broadway Video’s Lorne Michaels,

The original Mean Girls movie premiered in April 2004 and quickly became a favorite among teenagers of that time. Fey created the screenplay based on Rosalind Wiseman's 2002 novel Queen Bees and Wannabees

The film grossed $130.1 million worldwide, giving Lohan another blockbuster hit and propelling Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried to stardom.
