Netflix releases first trailer of Dragon's Dogma
Netflix finally revealed the first full trailer of the upcoming anime adaptation of Dragon’s Dogma, which is set to premiere on the streaming service on September 17.
Based on Capcom’s 2012 open-world action game, the anime series follows the story of Ethan, a man who seeks retribution from a dragon that stole his heart. As he embarks on a journey, he’ll have to face enemies embodying the seven deadly sins and every time he kills one of them, Ethan also loses his humanity.
“After losing his home to a dragon, Ethan sets out to hunt it down once and for all. A pawn appears by his side and serves to protect his life. But the dangers that lie in wait for Ethan are beyond their imaginations, for when you fight a monster... you just may become one too,” the synopsis reads.

Since the series is being produced by CG animation specialist Sublimination, you’ll notice in the trailer that the upcoming show's animation style is a bit of a departure from another Netflix anime series adaptation, Castlevania. But all things considered, Dragon's Dogma is shaping up to be one of the anime series that you should definitely not miss out this year.
Dragon’s Dogma was first released on May 24, 2012 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Capcom’s highly-acclaimed video game is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam and Nintendo Switch and already sold five million copies as of March 2020.
