May 4 marks Stars Wars Day, an informal commemorative day to celebrate the beloved sci-fi franchise created by George Lucas.
Star Wars Day was inspired by a pun of the' popular catchphrase "May the Force be with you" in Star Wars films, the original trilogy of which was released between 1977 and 1983.
The day is marked by Star Wars fans writing tributes on social media, binge-watching the movies, and cosplaying as their favorite characters, among others.
Several brands also launch promos and hold events ahead of May 4, and they even last a few days afterward.

Fully Booked is commemorating Star Wars Day with a series of activities lasting over the weekend.
In partnership with nonprofit 501st Legion Philippine Garrison, costuming organizations The Rebel Legion: Bagong Pag-Asa Base and FightSaber Philippines, and charity Make-A-Wish Philippines, Fully Booked will hold a celebration parade on May 4, Fan Force Quiz Night on May 5, and another celebration parade, storytelling, and lightsaber fan meetup on May 6.

This Tex-Mex food truck in Ilocos is giving 4% discount on its products for the rest of the day. Its products include birria quesataco, beef tacos, chicken tacos, chori nachos, chicken chimichanga, and churro balls.
Orbitkey
This Australia-based company specializing in key organizers is launching four new designs inspired by the iconic vehicles from the franchise, like the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star.
