Looking for something new to add to your watchlist? A digitally restored version of the 1996 award-winning film Madrasta is now streaming on KTX.

This family drama, helmed by writer-director Olivia Lamasan and co-written with National Artist Ricky Lee, follows the story of Mariel (Sharon Cuneta), a stepmother who tries to win the approval of her husband Edward's (Christopher De Leon) children.

Edward's estranged ex-wife Sandra (Zsa Zsa Padilla), however, comes back into the picture as she wants to rekindle her relationship with her kids Rachel (Claudine Barretto), Ryan (Patrick Garcia), and Liza (Camille Prats). This makes Mariel feel more insecure about being merely a stepmother to the kids she loves unconditionally.

Ready to relive iconic lines from the film like "I was never your partner, I'm just your wife"? The digitally restored and remastered Madrasta is now streaming on KTX, 26 years after its first theatrical release, for P150 per pass.

Other digitally restored classics from Lamasan like Minsan, Minahal Kita are also available for streaming on the site.
