EXO’s Kai revealed that it feels good to be the “bad guy.”

The medium-tempo R&B track Peaches is the title track of Kai’s second mini-album of the same name. The music video and album were released on Tuesday, Nov. 30.

The dreamy music video features Kai wearing deconstructed hanboks in sets that incorporate traditional Korean culture. The sensual R&B track talks about comparing a lover to the “sweetness” of a peach.

Pretty girl, you’re like peaches / It’s a soft embrace / Sweetness that spreads in my mouth / Feels good to be the bad guy,” Kai sang in the song’s chorus.

In his comeback press conference, Kai admitted that the production for his sophomore release wasn’t “relaxed” since it took some time to get it done. “It took some time because we needed constant evaluation in order to make good songs and a good album."

“The tough thing was the conflict between not having enough time despite all the things I wanted to do. We had to keep negotiating what to make our main focus. I think that I achieved a balance between something new and what I wanted to do,” he added.

Kai said he wanted to express “everything” that revolves around Peaches in the album’s concept. “I wanted to express everything with that keyword ‘peaches.’ It’s in the song, dance, and concept. When I heard the song, I could feel the wings of imagination take flight. The overall atmosphere and vibe of this song was what I really wanted people to hear.”

The EXO member also revealed that he wanted to show a “sweet, friendly, and cute image” with his sophomore release. “I wanted to hear, ‘He’s more lovable than I thought.’”

Peaches also features the tracks Vanilla, Domino, Come In, To Be Honest, and Blue

Kai debuted as the main dancer and center of the South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO in April 2012.
