If you woke up wondering why episode 14 of Attack on Titan's final season isn't available for streaming this morning, here's a quick explanation: the latest episode of Hajime Isayama's popular anime series has been postponed following an earthquake in Japan.

According to the official twitter account of Attack on Titan, the 73rd episode of the series titled "Evil" was "interrupted in the middle of program due to the earthquake that occurred in Wakayama."

NHK confirmed on Monday that a magnitude 4.6 quake struck western Japan at 12:26 am.

"The quake registered an intensity of 5-minus on the Japanese seismic scale of zero to 7 in Yuasa Town, Wakayama Prefecture," it said.

Thankfully, the Japan Meteorological Agency said that there is no tsunami threat following the quake.

Meanwhile, US anime streaming websites Crunchyroll and Funimation also confirmed that the latest episode of the series will not be airing today.

A new episode of Attack on Titan's final season normally drops every Monday in several streaming platforms in the country including iflix and iQIYI.

However, there's no word yet when the next episode will premiere or whether the delay will affect the schedule of the final season, with the supposed last episode set to premiere on March 28.

"We will inform you about future broadcasts and distributions as soon as they are decided," anime_shingeki added.
