LOOK: This basketball court in New Manila features cool 'Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile' art
Heads up, gamers and basketball players!
The SV Ball Park in New Manila, Quezon City has been revamped to feature cool art from Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
The floor of the court is painted in bright red, blue, cyan, and orange hues with the character Ghost jumping off the plane like how your character does in the game. Drawings of planes and other avatars in parachutes are also sprawled on the ground.
Meanwhile, the walls of the SV Ball Park are lined with prints of characters in the game.
Even the backboard of the basket features Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile art.
The colorful murals on the court were done by renowned artist and illustrator Jappy Agoncillo together with Honeycomb Arts.
"What makes this project unique is it's a whole basketball court. I've painted a lot of walls, big tall buildings, the sides of restaurants, but this time it's a basketball court," Jappy said. "And to see it as a playable surface, as not just a wall to look at, is very exciting."
Those who wish to play on the court can visit every Friday to Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for better accommodation and to avoid overlapping with regular league games. The mural will be up until July 1.
The SV Ball Park is located along Gilmore Avenue between 6th and 7th street in Quezon City.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile was released for iOS and Android for free earlier in March. The first-person shooter battle royale saw two maps, including Verdansk where 120 players wiped out their rivals and Rebirth Island where those who were eliminated get the chance to respawn into the match.
The mobile game also supports "shared progression" so your achievements, weapons, friends list, and more will reflect across the PC and console games.
Prior to launch, the game had over 50 million users signing up for pre-registration. Four days into Warzone Mobile's launch, it saw $1.4 million (~P81 million) in player spending, according to data estimates from AppMagic.
