Pet lovers may have post-Valentine's Day dates with PAWS rescue animals. Here's how
Are you a pet lover? You're in for a post-Valentine’s Day celebration as the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is setting up “furst dates” for its rescues.
In a Facebook post, the non-government organization said that from Feb. 15 to 17, you may have a date with a shelter animal of your choice for 30 minutes. It’s inclusive of snacks and drinks, a PAWS souvenir, and “a guaranteed memorable Valentine’s Day experience.”
If you cannot personally come to the shelter, which is located on Aurora Boulevard corner Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, you may sponsor a shelter animal to go on a date with a volunteer handler.
As of writing, the Feb. 17 slots are fully booked. The current available schedules are Feb. 15 and 16.
Booking can be done on the PAWS website, where you are required to provide your name, mobile number, and email. You must specify whether you're physically attending or sponsoring a volunteer and shelter animal.
A maximum of four bookings worth P750 per head are allowed. Payments can be made via GCash, and you need to upload screenshots of proof of payment.
PAWS will pick animals that haven’t been chosen yet or new rescues that aren’t ready to be introduced to the public.
The booking is inclusive of a special video of the sponsored date, which will be sent to your email.
