Concert director Paolo Valenciano apologized for the "major delay" that attendees experienced at a recently concluded Pasig show, sharing how he "lost complete control" of it.

The JBL Sound Fest 2025—held last Saturday, Dec. 6, at Parklinks Open Grounds in Pasig City—became a trending topic on social media after Valenciano released a statement on Facebook expressing his regrets and owning up to the missteps during the show. He mentioned concert headliner and JBL Philippines' newest ambassadors Cup of Joe as well as OPM rock legend Rico Blanco.

"Tonight, I lost complete control of our event, which caused a major delay and added two extra hours of work to an already exhausted team," he wrote. "I sincerely apologize to our client JBL and to my brothers from Cup of Joe (who had to be picked up by motorcycles in traffic jams just to make their new call time). This was my first year with JBL Sound Fest so I found this incredibly frustrating."

He ended with a note on Blanco without getting into much detail: "And to Rico, my hero, while I sincerely wish you the best, I’ve learned that we’re simply not meant to work together again."

In a statement shared on Facebook on Sunday, Dec. 7, JBL Philippines thanked those who attended the concert. "We're so grateful to everyone who showed up and had a great time," it said.

The organizers then apologized "for the delays and inconveniences" that happened at the event.

"Despite the challenges, we'd like to give our appreciation to the production team for doing their best throughout the night. We're taking this as a chance to learn and improve so we can make your future experiences smoother and better," it added.

Cup of Joe, Blanco, and other artists in the lineup have yet to publicly comment on the matter.
