Attention, Studio Ghibli fans! A film screening with all of your favorites from Hayao Miyazaki is happening this July.

Ghibli Fest Manila announced the upcoming event which will take place over two weekends: July 20 and 21 and July 27 and 28 at Street Kohi in Mayaman Street, Quezon City.

Among the films that you can catch are Howl's Moving Castle, Ponyo, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Arriety, Princess Mononoke, and The Wind Rises.

There will be limited slots for the movie screening with tickets priced at P250. You can reserve a slot here.

Here's the schedule for the film fest:

July 20 and 27 (Saturday)

  • 1 p.m. - Howl's Moving Castle
  • 3 p.m. - Ponyo
  • 5 p.m. - Kiki's Delivery Service

In addition to the screening, a Studio Ghibli Appreciation Festival is set to take place on October 19 and 20 at Street Kohi.

The organizers are also holding other activities like a Ghibli pottery workshop on July 27.

Street Kohi, a Japanese-themed cafe, previously hosted a Ghibli Festival in April which had a movie screening and Ghibli-themed merch, snacks, and more for fans to check out.

Earlier in the year, the Japanese animation studio received an honorary Palme d'Or at Cannes. This would mark the first time the film festival gave an award to a collective, rather than an individual.

The latest film to come out of Studio Ghibli is The Boy and the Heron in 2023, which was said to be Miyazaki's final movie.
