WATCH: Noah Centineo returns as Peter Kavinsky in ‘XO, Kitty’ season 2 trailer
Kitty Song Covey is back for a fresh start, alongside a familiar face: the swoon-worthy Peter Kavinsky from the To All The Boys film series.
In a two-minute trailer for XO, Kitty season 2 released on Dec. 17, Kitty, (played by Anna Cathcart) is seen seemingly worried as she dreams about the flashbacks of her life happenings from the past season, just as she nears her return to high school for a new semester at the Korean Independent School of Seoul (KISS).
This semester, the youngest Covey sister is looking for a drama-free life as a single person and is set to embark on her journey of finding her mom—all while grappling with the complexities of her life as a young adult.
She reunites with her squad, including her best friend Q (Anthony Keyvan), Dae (Minyeong Choi), Yuri (Gia Kim), Min Ho (Sang Heon Lee), Alex (Peter Thurnwald), and Juliana (Regan Aliyah).
“Last semester ended with so much drama. This semester, I have my priorities straight: I’m gonna hit the books and finally discover who my mom really was,” she said in the voiceover. “I’m ready to launch Kitty 2.0.”
The trailer also showed Kitty’s complicated romantic life, including wanting to try dating girls and her contemplating on her past romances with Yuri and Min Ho.
Joining her social circle are new characters Stella (Audrey Huynh), Praveena (Sasha Bhasin), and Jin (Joshua Lee).
Amid the “chaos” in her high school life, here comes Peter (Noah Centineo), the boyfriend of her sister Lara Jean (Lana Condor), who will be one of her support systems for the new semester.
“You are Kitty Song frickin’ Covey, don’t you forget it,” Peter tells Kitty.
Created by Jenny Han, XO, Kitty is a spin-off of her popular novel series-turned-film series To All the Boys. It is coming to Netflix on Jan. 16, 2025.
