Quezon City's 'Love Laban' Pride Festival to resume on June 30

Quezon City's annual Pride Festival is set to continue on the last day of June after it was cut short by rain.

Pride PH announced that it is bringing back their cancelled "Love Laban 2 Everyone" Pride Festival on June 30 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Quezon Memorial Circle.

The advocacy group stated that one of their main goals for the event is to push for the passage of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity/Expression Bill.

The festival initially took place last June 22 at the Quezon Memorial Circle, with more than 200,000 attendees.

After performances from Janella Salvador, Nica del Rosario, Justine Peña, Matthew Chang, Cup of Joe, and Sandiwa, Pride PH had to cut it short due to to the worsening weather. "Nais naming ipagbigay alam na nakompromiso ang electrical at sound system sa stage nang dahil sa malakas na ulan at posibleng makapinsala sa mga crew at mahal nating performers," the organizers said in a statement.

The likes of Vice Ganda, BINI, Marina Summers, Ben&Ben, Gloc-9, JK Labajo, and more were supposed to perform next.

While the organization didn't specify whether the original performers would be coming back, Vice revealed in her team's Instagram page that she would be gracing the stage of the festival.

"Tuloy ang LoveLaban! Tuloy ang rampa! See you this Sunday sa QC Circle!" the local star wrote in the caption.

Pride PH also assured that the new event would be more organized than the first.

Umulan man o umaraw, lalaban tayo para sa pagkakapantay-pantay!" they highlighted.
