Hit mystery comedy series Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for another season.

Variety reported that the planned Season 5 will consist of 10 episodes as with past seasons, which aired on streaming platforms Hulu and Disney+.

The renewal comes a little over a week after the fourth season premiered on Aug. 27. It's scheduled to run until Oct. 29.

Only Murders in the Building follows a trio of strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez) who have a shared interest in true crime podcasts. They become friends as they investigate suspicious murders in their apartment—the Arconia—and produce their very own podcast about the cases.

Season 4 picks up where Season 3 left off, with the murder of Charles' (Martin) longtime double Sazz, who was shot during the final moments.

As the scene cuts to black, Sazz can be seen writing something on Charles' kitchen floor with her own blood. It is unclear why she was slain or whether Charles was the true target.

Other Season 4 cast members include Meryl Streep, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani, and Molly Shannon.

Only Murders in the Building has received critical acclaim since its debut in 2021. The show has earned several nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Awards—the prestigious body recognizing television shows—even as Martin, Short, and Gomez got acting nods.

All four seasons also have an average of 97% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, a review-aggregation website for film and television.
