Alden Richards and Bea Alonzo are going to star in a movie together

As early as now, it looks like 2021 will be stacked with a lot of exciting Filipino movies.

Here’s an addition to the list: Alden Richards and Bea Alonzo are set to star in a movie together, PEP.ph reports.

The movie—a remake of the 2004 South Korean movie A Moment To Remember—will be produced by GMA Films and Viva Films.

While no details were given when the movie will be released (or how), PEP.ph said filming may begin as early as next month.

“A Moment to Remember,” an adaptation of Japanese TV drama, is about a couple whose love is put to the test when one of them is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

It’s always an exciting project when stars from the two competing networks (Alden is from GMA-7, Bea has been a long-time ABS-CBN talent) work together.

Alden and Bea have appeared in a commercial together, but this is the first time the two will headline a movie together.

In fact, this is the first time Bea will star in a movie outside ABS-CBN’s film production arm. Last month, she left Star Magic, her talent agency for almost 20 years.

Meanwhile, the last time Alden worked with an ABS-CBN actress was in the 2019 movie “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” which became the Philippines’ highest grossing Filipino movie of all time.
