Eraserheads frontman Ely Buendia teases ‘Huling El Bimbo’ world tour in 2023

Wasn’t able to watch Eraserheads’ Ang Huling El Bimbo reunion concert in the Philippines? You might have a chance to catch them live on one stage again.

In his Instagram stories on Saturday, Dec. 24, frontman Ely Buendia reposted a photo from his former partner and manager Diane Ventura’s page that says “World Tour 2023 Coming Soon,” with an inverted yellow letter E that the iconic band has long been associated with.

Eraserheads first teased their 2023 world tour at their reunion concert that took place on Thursday, Dec. 22 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque, where the OPM band performed some of their hit songs again. “It’s great to be back here on stage, with all of you. You’ve inspired us in the darkest times of the pandemic, inspired us to come back,” Buendia said onstage.

Consisting of Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan, Eraserheads is best known for their much-loved projects Ultraelectromagneticpop! (1993), Circus (1994), and Cutterpillow (1995). They disbanded in 2002, but had reunion concerts in 2008 and 2022.
