LIST: Nadine Lustre, Janine Gutierrez, and other nominees for the 2023 FAMAS Awards

The nominees for this year's Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) awards, the highest recognition in the local film industry, have been announced.

Family drama Family Matters led the nominees with 12 nods, including best picture, best actor for Noel Trinidad, best actress for Liza Lorena, best director for Nuel Naval, and best screenplay for Mel Mendoza Del Rosario.

Psychological comedy-drama Leonor Will Never Die followed with 10 nominations, including best picture, best director and screenplay for Martika Escobar, and best actress for Sheila Francisco.

The 2023 FAMAS awards will be held on Aug. 13 at the Manila Hotel.

Established in 1952, the FAMAS serves as the country's oldest existing award-giving body for film and, by extension, among the oldest in Asia. Here's the full list of this year's nominees.
