Here's how much the M6 Mac mini costs in the PH
Apple recently launched its latest Mac mini, which is its first computer to be equipped with the all-new M6 chip.
Apart from an M6 processor, the tech giant introduced a version of the ultracompact Mac with the M5 Pro chip on Aug. 25. Both are touted to deliver a "massive leap" in AI performance.
The M6 chip comes with a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, which make it up to four times faster in AI performance and two times faster with graphics than the Mac mini with M4 launched in 2024. Apple boasts that the machine can power through productivity tasks, creative projects like photo and video editing, AI workflows, and more.
Meanwhile, with the M5 Pro, users can tackle demanding workflows like app development, video rendering, and scientific simulations thanks to its 18-core CPU and up to 20-core GPU.
Memory-wise, this M6 version starts with 16GB of RAM, configurable to up to 32GB. Storage begins at 256GB and can go up to 2TB.
As for its other specs, the new Mac mini comes with two USB-C ports with USB 3 support and a 3.5mm headphone jack in front. At the back, there are three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, and Ethernet.
Apart from the Mac mini, Apple also introduced the new Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips.
The base Mac mini M6 (16GB+256GB) costs P64,990, with its education price at P57,990. Additional memory and storage can set you back P13,000 to P65,000.
On the other hand, the Mac mini M5 Pro (24GB+512GB) starts at P119,990, or P112,990 for education.
