LISTEN: Taylor Swift teases extended ‘Taylor’s version’ of 2014 song ‘Wildest Dreams’

Fulfilling every Swiftie’s wildest dream, a snippet of the new version of the 2014 Taylor Swift song Wildest Dreams has been released.

The extended snippet will be part of the official soundtrack of the upcoming animated film Spirit Untamed, with its latest teaser showcasing a short re-recording of Taylor Swift's song from the album “1989.”

ICYDK, Swift has been rerecording her songs after a copyright dispute with her first label company, Big Machine Records.

With the masters of her first six albums (Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation) being controlled by Big Machine, rereleasing her old songs under the guise of being Taylor's Version is the artist's way to rival the sales of her old recordings and claim back her artistry.

So far, she's only released the new version of the 2008 album Fearless, which has since debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The accolade marks her third #1 in less than a year following 2020's Folklore and 2021's Evermore. Yes, the girl has been busy.

Meanwhile, Spirit Untamed is set to release in theatres on June 4.
