LISTEN: Taylor Swift’s new ‘Fearless’-era song ‘All Over Me’
Keeping true to her reputation for being productive in quarantine, Taylor Swift has released a new song From the Vault titled All Over Me.
As part of the rerecording sessions for her sophomore album “Fearless,” From the Vault essentially means Taylor’s collection of unreleased songs from her previous eras. Despite being an old song, this 2021 version is an updated version rerecorded by Taylor and with background vocals coming from country singer Maren Morris.
“One thing I’ve been loving about these From The Vault songs is that they’ve never been heard, so I can experiment, play, and even include some of my favorite artists,” Taylor shared on the song’s Instagram announcement dated March 24.
True enough, the track features familiar themes and acoustic guitar chords from her country days.
To take control of her past work after her former label Big Machine Records sold her master recordings, Taylor is re-recording her first six studio albums: from her self-titled debut album Taylor Swift (2006) up to Reputation (2017). Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is releasing on April 9.
