Kylie Jenner makes Instagram history as the first woman to reach 300 million followers
Perhaps, it’s time to crown Kylie as the Instagram queen?
Internet star and socialite Kylie Jenner made Instagram history after becoming the first woman to reach 300 million followers.
The milestone makes Jenner the second person after soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo (who has over 389 million followers, as of this writing) to amass a high following on the social media app.
Following Ronaldo and Jenner, the most-followed people on Instagram are Argentine soccer player Leo Messi, singer Ariana Grande, and singer-actress Selena Gomez.
The record was previously held by Grande who surpassed 200 million followers in September 2020. Currently, the singer has over 289 million followers, as of this writing.
However, it seems like Jenner has been keeping a low profile on Instagram since her recent post was dated on Friday, Jan. 7. The photo showed the socialite flaunting her baby bump as she wore an oversized polo top and distressed jeans.
Jenner previously made headlines after confirming her second pregnancy with rapper Travis Scott in August 2021.
