Attention, ARMY! BTS is set to hold a free concert to mark their comeback in Seoul in March 2026.

According to a Forbes report, the Seoul Metropolitan government granted conditional approval for the upcoming show, which will be held in Gwanghwamun Square.

There's no date for the concert yet, but reports say BTS aims to take the stage between the dates of March 20 and 22. Their fifth studio album, ARIRANGwill be released on March 20.

Meanwhile, the Chosun Daily reports that the show is tentatively titled "K-Heritage and K-POP Fusion Performance."

"Gwanghwamun Square is a symbolic space representing Korea's identity. We aim to reaffirm BTS's roots as a group in Korea and express our love for the country through this performance," HYBE said, as per the outlet.

The report added that the agency aims to film inside Gyeongbokgung Palace and Gwanghwamun Gate. They also want to display projections on the walls of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Sungnyemun Gate.

The concert will be streamed live globally to 300 million viewers across 190 countries through global OTT platforms. "This could be a live broadcast event on a scale similar to the World Cup or the Olympics," a HYBE official told Seoul Economic Daily.

If the free concert is approved, the label said that 15,000 to 20,000 attendees will be selected through advance registration.

ARIRANG will be BTS's first album release since the group took a hiatus in June 2022 so its members could complete mandatory military service. All members were reportedly involved in creating songs for the 14-track record.

Following the album launch, the K-pop boy group will kick off their two-year global tour on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea. They will then head over to Tokyo, Japan, North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia, performing 79 shows in 34 regions.

Their Manila leg is set on March 13 and 14, 2027. Location details are yet to be released.
