Filo Army, listen up: Here's what you need to know about BTS' 2027 return to Manila, and everything else your favorite K-pop group is cooking up for the next two years.

On Jan. 13, pop icons BTS announced their highly anticipated return to the global stage through a massive world tour 3.5 years after they went on hiatus to focus on solo projects. The group will be going on what is set to be the "biggest global K-pop tour of all time," according to Live Nation.

79 shows in 34 regions

The two-year tour begins on April 9, with three shows in Goyang, South Korea before moving to Tokyo, Japan.

Their North America leg then kicks off in Tampa, Florida on April 25 and 26 at Raymond James Stadium. Multiple stops in major cities across North America, Europe and the UK follow, including Mexico City, Las Vegas, London, Paris, East Rutherford, Toronto, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Toward the end of the year, BTS will head over to Latin America and Asia, with shows scheduled in Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Singapore, amid other stops.

They begin 2027 in Australia, with performances across Melbourne and Sydney.

On March 13 and 14, 2027, BTS returns to Manila.

A 360-degree in-the-round stage

Cementing their status as pop royalty, BTS will be using a 360-degree, in-the-round stage design for all their performances. No other K-pop group has staged a stadium show with this kind of stage, according to Live Nation

Such a design transforms how audiences experience concerts.

Unlike traditional stages that stand at one end of the venue and face only one direction, a 360-degree stage is positioned at the center. Surrounding it is the seating area, giving the audience an unobstructed, panoramic view of all the performers.

Such a stage is usually made even more unique by several elements, including rotating platforms, advanced lighting and sound systems, even hydraulic lifts.

Historic firsts

Worldwide ARMYs have been anticipating this reunion for years, and BTS is making it worth their while by including significant firsts throughout their tour.

Aside from bringing along their immersive 360-degree in-the-round stage to their performances, BTS is also marking several other milestones in this comeback.

At two stops in their U.S. tour, BTS will become the "first and largest" K-pop group to headline a concert in El Paso, Texas, and Foxborough, Massachusetts, performing at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso and the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.

Over in Stanford, California, BTS will become just the second musical group, next to Coldplay, to hold a show at the Stanford Stadium.

Elsewhere in the U.S., the group will give the first-ever K-pop performances at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

In the European leg of the tour, BTS will mount its first-ever shows in Madrid and Brussels, as well as at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Album launch

Making their comeback even more epic is the launch of BTS' fifth full-length album on March 20 at 12 p.m. (Philippine time). Pre-orders open this Friday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m.

The album, announced by their agency BigHit Music, will have 14 tracks that reveal the septet's "emotions and struggles" throughout their K-pop journey.

"The new album holds special significance as it marks the first album released by the group in three years and nine months, while also indicating the direction the group will take going forward. The members were deeply involved in the creation of the songs, infusing their own thoughts and colors into them while musically expressing the emotions and struggles they have experienced along their journey," the agency said.

"We ask for your continued love and support for BTS as they embark on a fresh start through these new promotional activities," the agency's note ended, thanking the ARMY "who have waited patiently for so long."
