‘Rick and Morty’ Season 5 premieres Monday
Up for some out-of-this-world adventure?
The fifth season of the modern-day hit Rick and Morty will premiere exclusively on HBO Go this Monday, June 21.
The first episode titled “Mort Dinner Rick Andre” is set in “space” as Adult Swim will be launching Rick’s Space Cruiser 150,000 feet into the atmosphere.
All regular voice cast will return to the new season. Co-creator Justin Roiland as the voice of Rick and Morty, Sarah Chalke as Beth (or Beth's clone), Chris Parnell as Jerry, and Spencer Grammer as Summer.
Alison Brie will also guest on the show after her run as Diane Nguyen in Bojack Horseman, while Kanye West will not be a guest star in the season.
The series follows the story of eccentric scientist Rick Sanchez who tags his grandson Morty Smith on dangerous adventures. Rick lives with Morty’s immediate family. Rick’s daughter and Morty’s mother, Beth, together with Morty’s father Jerry, and sister Summer are also dragged into the intergalactic escapades.
