Can't decide whether you want to play a game all night or snooze in bed peacefully? Rest your very best as the simulation mobile game, Pokémon Sleep gamifies your sleep.
Pokémon Sleep is a sleep-tracking app that actually rewards users with Pokémon depending on the quality of their sleep.
The game takes place on a small island where trainers carry out research on how Pokémon sleep alongside a large Snorlax who lives on the island and Neroli, a professor who's studying Pokémon sleep styles.
How to play Pokémon Sleep
This sleep app gives you something fun to look forward to when you wake up in the morning. Simply place your smartphone by your pillow when you go to bed to record to measure your sleep. The longer you sleep, the higher your score will be in the morning, and the more Pokémon you'll see appear around Snorlax. Your sleep score multiplied by Snorlax's strength will decide its "Drowsy Power." The more drowsy power means more pokémon will gather.
Your nights of sleep can be classified as one of three sleep styles—dozing, snoozing, or slumbering—and in the morning, Pokémon that sleep in similar ways will come around Snorlax in the game.
Just like other Pokémon Games, you need a Pokédex, but this time its a "Sleep Style Dex" that collates the pokémon that sleep around you based on their sleep styles.
During day time, the player needs to feed Snorlax as this will increase its strength. Each week, Snorlax grows based on the amount you sleep. As it grows, the more chances you have to collect pokémon rare sleep styles especially when you get regular sleep.
The number of hours you've slept will affect your score, and the quality of pokémon and sleeping patterns you catch when you wake up in the morning will also be influenced by the amount of sleep you had.
Other features of the game
More than a game, Pokémon Sleep can track useful information related to your sleeping patterns. The app can help players form consistent sleeping habits throug the bedtime feature where you track the time you woke up and the time you need to sleep at night.
