Would you survive the Squid Game? These players are about to find out for themselves.

Netflix just dropped the official trailer for Squid Game: The Challenge, where 456 contestants are set to compete against each other to take home a cash prize of $4.56 million (P259 million). It's based on Netflix’s hit Korean series, Squid Game

As seen in the trailer, almost everything is set up to look exactly as it does in the series. Even Young-hee, the huge animatronic robot doll that made everyone’s skin crawl, is making a comeback in her famous Green Light, Red Light game.

Other familiar games shown in the trailer are the crossing of two-panel glass bridges, the honeycomb game, and the marble game. The simulated experience of the show is also complete with the green sweatsuits of the players and guards in full attire and masks.

Don’t worry, none of the consequences of losing these games are deadly. When moving players are detected in the Green Light, Red Light game, for instance, they would only get shot with paint on the chest.

The show also hints at exciting tension among players. One of them seemingly implied betrayal in the trailer as he said, “I’m gonna be your best friend, but I will absolutely double-cross you.”

Earlier this year, the producers of Squid Game: The Challenge faced a hurdle in its production when reports surfaced regarding players needing immediate medical assistance while participating in the show. Netflix immediately addressed the issue by saying that the claims were untrue, and that all safety precautions while filming were followed accordingly by their team.

The Netflix thriller series Squid Game was launched by Netflix in 2021. A second season is expected for the show, but further announcements on its release have yet to be made.

Squid Game: The Challenge is set to premiere on Netflix on Nov. 22.
