WATCH: Billy Crystal, Meg Ryan recreate the iconic diner scene from 'When Harry Met Sally'
When Harry Met Sally stars Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan return to the diner where they had their iconic scene from the 1989 film.
The two actors reunited for a Super Bowl ad for Hellman's Mayonnaise.
"I can't belive they let us back into this place," said Billy, who's sitting across Meg at their old haunt, Katz's Delicatessen. "Why? Nobody remembers that," the actress replied.
Meg, who says she's unhappy with her sandwich, adds a dollop of mayonnaise to her dish. This appears to hit the spot for her as, like in the 1989 film, she begins moaning and feigning an orgasm.
"Oh, this one's real," Billy said.
And like in the 1989 movie, Meg's noises caught the attention of other diners. Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney then appears and says the unforgettable line: "I'll have what she's having."
The two When Harry Met Sally stars recently teased their upcoming reunion as they posed for a photo resembling the look of the final scene from the 80s movie. The film marked its 35th anniversary in 2024.
When Harry Met Sally tells the story of college graduates, Harry and Sally, who share a car ride bound for New York City. During their travel, they debated whether sex could ruin the possibility of a platonic relationship between a man and a woman.
When they stopped at a diner, Sally claimed that men cannot tell when women are faking orgasms. To prove her point, she fakes one while fully clothed in the middle of Katz's Delicatessen, catching the attention of other diners.
Since that ride, the two often found themselves in chance encounters, finding the answer to whether they could stay friends or deny their attraction to each other.
The two earned recognition for their roles in the rom-com classic, with Meg bagging a Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture nomination for her role as Sally Albright, and Billy clinching a Best Performance by an Actor nod for his role as Harry Burns.
