Joe Jonas gets confused about fan's sign mid-concert, mistakenly announces she's pregnant
It would have been huge news if it were true.
Joe Jonas drew laughs after misreading a fan's held-up sign while he was performing onstage with his brothers Kevin and Nick at a Jonas Brothers concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Aug. 21.
Two fans held up the same sign: "Husbands have no clue about round 2! Help us tell them?"
One of the fans passed her phone to Joe, who gamely called her husband.
He first spoke to the fan's daughter and then her son, but never got to speak to the husband who, Joe announced, "hung up" on him. Instead, he made a video message for the husband.
"Hey Dylan, it's us, the Jonas Brothers, with your lovely wife. I just met your kids. And I just wanted to let you know you're having another one!" Joe said, to cheers from the crowd.
But that wasn't what the fan, who wasn't pregnant, meant with her sign.

The next day, Joe posted an explanation.
On X, Joe said, "So last night I saw a sign that said, 'Hey my husband doesn't know about #2.' I'm assuming, baby. 'Can you tell him?' I said, 'Sure.' So I grabbed the phone. And it took forever to get this guy on the phone. He wasn't answering."
After two children answered the phone, Joe was left "confused."
"Come to find out her husband just didn't know that they were going to a second concert, not having a second child. So anyway, great," Joe said.
The Madison Square Garden series of concerts was just ahead of the Jonas Brothers' fall kick-off of the group's 45-city North American tour Burning Up Tour All Over Again. Per Billboard, it will officially start on Sept. 25 in Boston.
