Here's how you can go on free monthly guided tours in Rizal Park

Published Mar 23, 2026 1:55 pm

Every month until December 2026, the National Parks Development Committee will be holding free guided history walks in Rizal Park.

All the tours, except the one in April, will be done by historian Xiao Chua.

"Get ready to discover the stories that shaped our nation with History Walk 2026, an immersive journey through the rich history of Rizal [Park]," wrote the National Parks Development Committee on social media, announcing the tour series.

The first walk took place in February, with the next one scheduled for March 25 in time for Holy Week, with the theme, "Panata at Rizal Park Luneta."

The series will continue monthly until Dec. 21, 2026. Each tour presents different angles of Philippine history, all revolving around Luneta. See the rest of the schedule and tour topics below.

There is no gatekeeping here; The tours are designed to appeal not only to academics but also to anyone curious about Philippine history.

The NPDC will post registration details one week before each tour. To register and stay updated on details, like and follow the NPDC Facebook page.
