Looking for a scare? Make Halloween extra spooky with these night tours
Halloween isn't just about dressing up and going to parties. For those of you who are looking for a different way to get into the spooky spirit, why not spend the night exploring places with a little more history?
Night tours can be a fun way to spend Halloween, especially if you enjoy hearing creepy stories, learning about a place’s history, or simply testing how brave you are once the sun goes down.
So if you’re up for an adventure this spooky season, here are some night tours worth checking out.
Echoes in the Shadows

Intramuros hits a little different after dark, especially during Halloween.
Recollections of Old Manila Tours is organizing a special night walking tour on Oct. 30 and 31 that invites guests to explore the historic walled city while learning about its culture, heritage, and the stories that have lingered through the years.
The tour costs P1,300 per person. You can reserve your slot by messaging Recollections of Old Manila Tours before slots disappear.
A Night in Old Manila

A Night in Old Manila is another tour you can join to experience Intramuros when the sun has set.
The walking tour includes a visit to Fort Santiago, including its dungeon, as well as Casa Manila and the centuries-old walls surrounding the district. Along the way, a Department of Tourism-accredited tour guide will share lesser-known stories and historical tidbits that you might not find in your textbooks.
You can book the tour via Klook for $20.75 (P1,308).
After Dark: kaDILIMAN

University of the Philippines Diliman may look familiar during the day, but have you ever wondered what the campus feels like after dark?
Benjamin Canapi of WanderManila will be leading a guided tour that takes guests around the university grounds to hear about its urban legends, ghost stories, folklore, and the history behind some of its most familiar spots.
"After Dark: kaDILIMAN" is happening on Nov. 6 at 5:00 p.m. The event is free and open to everyone, with UP alumni given priority. Slots are limited, so register as soon as you can via this link.
Dark October

Not all spooky season plans have to involve ghost stories. Jing Ordoña of Manilakad is offering a series of “dark tours” this October that take visitors through some of Manila and Quezon City’s most historic—and sometimes overlooked—spots after dark.
The lineup includes Manila Night Walk on Oct. 17, which covers Quiapo, Intramuros, and Binondo in one evening; Sleaze, Booze, Snooze on Oct. 24, an adults-only walk through Ermita and Malate; and New Manila After Dark on Oct. 31, which includes a nighttime stroll along the legendary Balete Drive.
There’s also Cemetery Crawl on Oct. 25, a daytime tour covering La Loma Cemetery, Manila Chinese Cemetery, and Manila North Cemetery, limited to just three participants.
Each walk lasts at least three hours. You can send a message to Ordoña on Facebook for more details.
Ilaw: Shadows of San Juan
San Juan City takes the spooky spotlight this Halloween with “ILAW: Shadows of San Juan—Terror Tour 2026,” a heritage and dark history walk that takes participants through the city’s historic landmarks after dark.
Organized by United Architects of the Philippines QC Capitol and QC Central, the tour will explore centuries-old sites, forgotten stories, and some of the darker tales connected to San Juan’s past.
The walk starts at 2:00 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the Pinaglabanan Memorial Shrine and will last until 7:00 p.m. The tour is open to both members and non-members, with a P500 fee for non-members.
You can register through this link.
